"A Fight for Justice: The Political Lynching of Eddie J. Carthan & The Tchula 7" is a compelling and deeply personal documentary that explores the untold story of Eddie J. Carthan, the first Black mayor of Tchula, Mississippi, and his battle against systemic injustice. Written, filmed, and produced by Fabulous Life Productions in association with Carthan Enterprises, the documentary sheds light on the harrowing events surrounding the wrongful persecution of Dr. Eddie James Carthan and six other community leaders known as the Tchula 7.

Through a powerful combination of interviews, archival footage, and personal stories, this film highlights the political struggles, racial oppression, and the courage it took to stand up against a deeply ingrained system of racial discrimination. As viewers journey through the lives of these men, they are confronted with the realities of a justice system weaponized against Black leadership in the South.

Executive Producer Edelia "Dr. Jay" Carthan weaves a narrative that not only honors her father's fight for justice but also reflects on the larger historical context of racial and political struggles in Mississippi. Set for release on Eddie J. Carthan's 75th birthday, October 18, 2024, the documentary serves as a tribute to his enduring legacy and a call for justice, reconciliation, and truth.
